Anna Getaneh

A former acclaimed international model, a fashion designer, humanitarian and social entrepreneur, Anna Getaneh is the Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of AMedit Magazine. Anna Getaneh, has worked in Fashion for over 20 years in all leading fashion capitals; Paris, New York, London, Milano, Dusseldorf, Madrid, during which time she launched African Mosaique to create awareness of African fashion and its designers. Launching the first pan African fashion event, during Paris Fashion week in 1996. It was very clear that African Fashion was not well promoted in the west, and very few Africans had a presence in the international fashion industry. With all this experience and understanding the challenges designers are facing it was the vision of Anna Getaneh to return to Ethiopia to be part of building the country Fashion industry, starting by identifying, nurturing and empowering. Anna invested in building a fully integrated design and manufacturing center for the in-house collection as well as an opportunity to share the space with other designers. The center also provides free training as part of the African Mosaique Incubator Program. Anna Getaneh is also the founder of ECF Children’s Fund (www.ethiopianchildrendsfind.org) a not-for – profit organization dedicated to support children in need in rural Ethiopia.

Michel Temteme

A multi-talented photographer and producer. Michel Temteme is the Artistic Director and Co-founder of AMedit Magazine. Michel Temteme has a unique eye for capturing compelling images. He was born and raised in Ethiopia and moved to Italy in his mid- teens. It was in Milano, one of the worlds fashion capital that he was introduced to fashion photography and the fashion industry. He worked at the world renowned Industria Super studio, where he worked at a young age assisting many renowned photographers and learnt first-hand from experts. He then worked as free- lance photographer, covering fashion editorials, to portraits and reportage. Seven years ago he decided to return to Ethiopia to set up his own production company and has been working with all major fashion and accessories brands and advertising companies in the country and has brought fresh new contemporary photography direction to the scene, inspiring many young photographers and creatives. Michel Temteme, has worked for Vanity Fair, GQ, Men’s Health, Amica, Panorama, Sports Wear International, Uomo Vogue, British Vogue and more.
